We’re mothers. We get how difficult it is sometimes (or most of the time) getting in breakfast, let alone a healthy one.
We’re honestly so thankful we can offer nutritious and delicious products that can easily be incorporated to breakfasts. Not to mention, our products can complete a breakfast meal!
You can use Soom products for various, decadent, and leisurely breakfasts whether in shakshuka, chocolate chip blender muffins, and hummingbird cinnamon rolls. However, we’re going to share some extremely quick and simple ways to get in breakfast that’s not only easy, but delicious and nutrient-dense, too!
Why you should add Soom to your breakfast
We think it’s really important to discuss the nutritional benefits of our products. And as mothers, it’s really important we find ways we can incorporate our products into meals our children want to eat, too. Not only to make it easier for us, but also to provide them with essential vitamins and nutrients like those they might not intaking regularly.
Simply put, sesame seeds, the main (and only) ingredient in Soom Tahini is a truly mighty seed. This teeny, tiny seed is full of essential nutrients – including healthy fats, plant-based calcium, iron, protein, and omega 6 fatty acids. It’s even packed with copper, magnesium, phosphorus, zinc, and selenium. So, Soom Tahini packs a nutritional punch in every tablespoon! Further, Soom Tahini is incredibly beneficial for prenatal and postnatal care.
In addition, dates are full of vitamins. Dates are the only ingredient found in Soom Silan. Dates are packed with soluble fiber, magnesium, copper, and manganese, and even laxative properties.
How to add Soom to your breakfast
Above, we shared some reasons why you should include Soom products into your breakfast. But besides the nutritional and “quick” attributes of our offerings, they add tremendous flavor to your meals. Below are easy and decadent ways to add tahini, chocolate sweet tahini, and silan date syrup to your breakfast. We’re also sharing some make-ahead breakfasts that are perfect to store a stash in the freezer in case you only have time for opening the freezer before heading out!
Breakfasts that take 5 minutes or less
Skip the hassle of breakfast and toast some hearty bread with a schmear of Soom Chocolate Sweet Tahini to create our Chocolate Tahini Toast with Bananas and Chia Seeds. It’s an easy on-the-go breakfast and one that will keep you satisfied until your next snack or meal. Top it off with bananas and chia seeds for a little extra enjoyment. Say goodbye to your peanut butter banana sandwich and hello to our rendition with chocolate tahini!
We’re obsessed with Suraya’s tehina yogurt bowl here in Philly. For those who aren’t able to easily come to Philly to enjoy it, we created our own spin on the beloved yogurt bowl! We topped ours with pomegranate seeds, sliced almonds, granola, and Soom Tahini and Soom Silan for a breakfast that will never get old. Try topping yogurt with your favorite fruits, nuts, and seeds along with tahini and silan, too for an easy yet complete breakfast bowl.
A yogurt parfait with a chocolate tahini drizzle is the perfect way to start your day. If you’re short on time, this yogurt parfait comes together in less than 5 minutes. Get in your chocolate fix for the day with this simple breakfast.
Make our Chocolate Tahini Smoothie and take it on the go with you! It’s sweet, chocolatey, slightly nutty, delicious, and nutritious. Basically, it consists of everything you want in a smoothie! For an additional chocolate layer, top the smoothie with a drizzle of Soom Chocolate Sweet Tahini.
A drizzle of chocolate sweet tahini is a no-brainer when it comes to elevating your frozen waffles! The longest process here is toasting up a waffle, but even that is a quick task in this breakfast! Most importantly, it’s both kid and adult-friendly.
Breakfasts to prepare the night before
For a delicious winter-inspired breakfast, make these silan-sweetened gingerbread overnight oats! They’re layored with flavor and perfect for grab and go the morning you’re in a hurry.
This silan and tahini banana bread is a delicious breakfast alternative. It’s perfectly moist and pairs well with a cup of coffee or milk. Pack a slice for an on-the-go breakfast or snack to enjoy over the course of the day.
If you’re craving nutty, warm, and chocolately muffins, we highly recommend whipping up a batch of these. They’re gluten-free, perfectly tender, moist, and fluffy. Blitz all ingredients in a blender and pour the batter into a muffin tin. Place them in the freezer or store them at room temperature under a loose tea towel for up to 3 days.
If we had to choose one dessert (or breakfast!) to make throughout the fall and winter months, we’d choose our Tahini Apple Crumble. This elevated tahini fruit dessert wins major points. It’s more nutritious and easier to assemble than a pie, but even more satisfying. It makes for a super tasty breakfast option, too!
