Valentine’s Day is coming up and you know what that means – delicious, decadent food and presents! That is, if you play your cards correctly. We believe that Soom can tackle both of those items (pun intended since it’s right after the Super Bowl). Soom Tahini‘s nutty creaminess lends itself well in sweet and savory applications and it works well as a present.
Whether you celebrate this day with your partner or alone, you can cook up an absolutely delicious meal or bake some desserts that pair well with this holiday. Continue reading for a list of what to make this Valentine’s Day.
Lets start with appetizers. We suggest making our grilled butter lettuce with soy tahini dressing to kickstart the night! It’s a fantastic appetizer and really sets the tone for innovative and global flavors.
This tahini goddess dressing is full of flavor. It might just be what you didn’t know you were missing from last year’s Valentine’s Day menu. This dressing adds incredible flavor. We recommend pairing this dressing with spring mix, green apples, feta, pomegranate seeds, and walnuts for a salad to impress your partner.
Another great option for an appetizer is our butternut squash soup. Its velvety texture and layered flavors make it an appetizer you’ll look forward to enjoying time and time again during the winter seasons.
Go the extra mile and whip up an incredible dish for your significant other like this mint tahini pesto to serve alongside lamb chops. It’s flavorful and milds the gaminess of the lamb with the brightness of the mint. Above all, this dish will really excite your tastebuds.
If you’re going for a more subtle and homey entree, especially if you or your partner is vegan, we recommend making this pasta dish. The red symbolizes Valentine’s Day, making it a worthwhile dish this time of year.
We all know that desserts are a must, especially desserts that highlight the indulgence of chocolate. Some of our favorite dessert recipes that incorporate chocolate include these rich and decadent brownies. Surprisingly these are grain-free, so if you’re gluten-free, you can enjoy these!
If we had to choose one dessert to make throughout the fall and winter months, we’d choose our Tahini Apple Crumble. This elevated tahini fruit dessert wins major points. It’s more nutritious and easier to assemble than a pie, but even more satisfying. Top it off with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for textural interplay.
Some of the other delicious recipes we enjoy include chocolate cookies, fancy chocolate chip cookies, & chocolate-covered strawberries. For that last one, just dip strawberries into our chocolate sweet tahini. Chocolate Soom can really come in handy for all of the above!
Wishing you a wonderful Valentine’s Day!
